A quick about-this-site in case people get directed here and don’t know us. Or, you do know us and forget what our intentions are. Or something.
In June 2007 we moved from Newbury, England to Sydney, Australia. I (John) arrived under a Working Holiday Visa so I get to do a bit of work if they’ll have me. As it’s only valid for a year we intend to limit our stay to that length and then return to England (though not Newbury as it smells). But, we’re not ruling out sponsorship which may mean an extended stay and the awful realisation that I may force the wife (Roz) out to get a job.
We’re both very bad at keeping in touch with family and friends so we thought that keeping this diary would be the most time-efficient way of letting everyone know what we’ve been up to. We’ll try not to bore you but you’ll probably read a lot of uninteresting stuff that maybe only family will be interested in or just one friend in particular but we’re happy to bore the rest of you if it keeps our nights and weekends free.
